Ingrid Hedwig Phillips (Krix), 69, passed away peacefully on October 19th, 2023, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She was surrounded by friends and family. Cremation has taken place. Ingrid was born on January 13th, 1954 in Rosenthal Germany to Bruno and Elli Krix. She and her family immigrated to the United States in September of 1956 and she spent her life in Cheyenne until moving in with her daughter in Scottsbluff in 2015.

Ingrid started her working career at American National Bank in Cheyenne in 1974. She started for the State of Wyoming two years later and continued there until her retirement in 2015.

Ingrid was well known for her sardonic sense of humor, her love of animals, and her love of her friends and family. She was a huge Star Trek fan, loved a good horror movie, and she also loved to read Science Fiction. Isaac Asimov was one of her favorite authors but loved to read anything about space or space exploration as she closely followed space exploration and NASA.

She was welcomed into heaven by her parents and her older brother Dieter.

She is survived by daughter Erika (Michael) Hackett; son Kris (Cassandra) Phillips; grandchildren Michael, Mckenna, Ashley, and Alex; brothers Gunther (Marvel) Krix and Werner Krix; sister-in-law Linda Krix; and numerous nieces and nephews and many cherished friends.
